Let's change the number of workers who are in charge in order to reduce this stock this time.
We will continue to use the model created in "The 15th: Let's measure labor saving by introducing automatic machines! ~Examination on the number of workers considering material input by handwork~".
1. Check the Inventory Quantity
Let's first render the model we created last time and check the results again.
When you proceed to the middle of the animation, at a certain timing, the number representing inventory quantity has been grown at the station of processing and assembly as shown in the above figure. Here, it shows that the amount of work in process inventory has expanded due to excess supply to each station than processing and assembly.
This can also be confirmed from the material flowchart (figure below).
2. Labor-saving of suppliers
We found that it was oversupplied, so we consider about reducing supply volume.
In this case, since one person in charge is allocated to each supply work individually, make the person in charge become labor-saving so that one person in charge will have multiple suppliers.
As for the setting method, like as the previous worker, change the station activity related to each supply work from the person in charge to the team called "supply team" to reduce the number of persons in charge of the team.
Here, we set the number of supply teams as three.
3. Setting the order of work performed by the supplier
In the above, we have made the labor-saving of supplier personnel, but in this condition, when there are two more supply works to be done by the person in charge, it may not concentrate on the flow and concentrate on some supply in processing or assembly since it is the default of "work amount in larger order".
Here, according to the flow of processing and assembly, we try to supply the order of "BODY supply" --> "board supply" --> "antenna supply" --> "FPC supply" --> "panel supply" --> "BODY supply".
This can be expressed by setting the behavior "SQ" of the worker of station activity.

Behaviors "SQ" is defined that the work execution order, followed by the number set as separation by commas have set as the operation of the number of execution.
Here, in order to express the above order, we set as follows.
-BODY supply : SQ 1,1
-Board supply : SQ 2,1
-Antenna supply : SQ 3,1
-FPC supply : SQ 4,1
-Panel supply: SQ 5,1
Now this completes the setting.
4. Confirm Result
When you implement rendering and see the result, you can find that the work in process inventory quantity has been decreased.
This time we made 3 persons in charge of supply, but you allocate 2 people, please check what happens to the inventory quantity.
You may want to check how the volume is fluctuating in the volume at that time.
In this way, it is possible to reduce the amount of supply as one means of reducing the inventory quantity, to virtually eliminate personnel for that purpose, and to confirm the behavior.
